Pride — Natural — No Sign | Tishspiration Rainbow Collection Digital Art

Description

Pride — Natural — No Sign

Pride — Natural — No Sign is part of the Tishspiration Rainbow Collection, created from an original photograph by Tish MacWebber in Inverness, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.

For me, the word Pride in this piece isn’t about believing ourselves better than anyone else. It’s about being able to stand comfortably in who we are without shame, fear, or the feeling that some part of ourselves needs to be hidden.

My own perspective is rooted in a simple belief: we are all deserving of love. We don’t have to share the same experiences, identities, choices, or understanding of the world to treat one another with kindness, dignity, equality, and grace.

Pride can speak particularly to members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, as well as anyone who has ever been made to feel that being fully themselves might cost them acceptance. But its invitation is for all of us: make room for people to be seen, valued, and loved as human beings.

There is also a little piece of The Rainbow Connection woven into the inspiration behind the design—a musical connection that felt especially fitting beneath a Cape Breton rainbow.

This Natural — No Sign edition keeps the colours and atmosphere closer to the original photograph while leaving the Inverness sign out of the composition, allowing the rainbow and its message to take centre stage.
