Ewe Soon — Technicolour — No Sign
Ewe Soon — Technicolour — No Sign is the playful wildcard of the Tishspiration Rainbow Collection, created from an original photograph by Tish MacWebber in Inverness, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.
The collection began with a real Cape Breton rainbow. A local business owner who is also a friend was looking over my photo, and thought she might like to hang a variation of it in her yarn shop.
I put my thinking cap on, and it came to me: for a yarn shop, it would be fitting if sheep started parachuting out of the sky.
It was a pure moment of Tishspiration. I had started out pondering how to create a sign for my friend’s yarn shop, and the unexpected thought twist even caught me by surprise!
With “THANKS FOR DROPPING IN!” stretched across the sky and “SEE EWE SOON!” waiting below, Ewe Soon turns the original landscape into a whimsical send-off filled with colour, wordplay, and a healthy dose of the unexpected.
The sky really is the limit here. I can see this hanging in a craft studio, or or just about any craft related space, retail or personal. I could also imagine it hanging over the exit door of a daycare.
This Technicolour — No Sign edition amplifies the colour and atmosphere of the original photograph while leaving the Inverness sign out of the composition. AI-generated parachuting sheep have been incorporated into the finished artwork as part of the creative design.
